Will Larter left this review about Keg, Cask & Bottle

Previously at The Longfield Centre in Prestwich, the Keg, Cask & Bottle operation moved here and offers beers to takeaway or to drink on the premises. Neither of the cask beers were what I was prepared to drink (a milk stout from Wiper & True, and Marble's Pint), so I picked something random from the keg taps on the back wall, and ended up with a very cold and fizzy fruit juice. No amount of CAMRA people telling me this is good beer is going to change my mind. (Long Shot Small Man's Wetsuit 3.9%, £6/pint; luckily I only had a half.) I just drank up and headed for the tram stop.

Strongers . left this review about Gorge Restaurant & Bar

Walking past Gorge on Tuesday evening I noted that it advertises itself as a bar and restaurant so I decided to pop in for a beer. The barman seemed surprised that I didn’t want any food, but I was more than welcome to sit at a table with a half of Estrella, £3. The small bar to the left of the entrance also supports three or four other premium keg options. Tables are found opposite the bar along the right hand wall and up the left hand wall behind the bar. In essence, this is a South American themed restaurant, that was popular with a late twenties, early thirties crowd. Not the sort of place I’d normally go just for a beer, and I won’t again, but it is on the radar for a meal when I’m back in Prestwich with the wife.
